Second week...

So, I am still dealing with break up shizz, but even with that drama I'm still running and I am succeeding still. I haven't checked to see if I lost any pounds but I will tomorrow, once I have finished the second week.

Seriously I thought this week was going to kill me, it hasn't. Honestly this weeks running has been so much easier. Running a long time rather than sprinting and resting is a lot more easier than the sprinting and running, I feel from here on the running life will be easier and more enjoyable because Berry has started actually keeping up as long as I run the way she wants to go.

So all in all these past days have been the worst emotionally but the best physically. This running program will continue and I'm sure I'm gonna look amazing after the 8 weeks. Only 6 more weeks to go until it's finished. Stay tuned...

First week done..

First week done. Now I'm on to the second one. I was super mad and stressed today, I just could barely deal with work. I don't know why I was in such a horrible mood today, well more like I know, but I don't want to talk about.

Anyways I finished the first week accordingly. There's only 7 more weeks to go, if I, no strike that "Once I" finish the weeks I'm hoping to lost at least 5lbs, that's literally all I am trying to accomplish. Once the 7 weeks are done then I'll probably make the challenge to how many miles I can do and so on.

As for right now though, finishing this week is the main goal! Luckily, I have a workout partner, but she cheats and stays in one spot till I make the lap around and meet back with her. In other words, she's not the best workout buddie, but I still love her!

This working out has been going great and my bodies already craving more run time. When I'm running I just forget about the world, when running nothing else matters other than my daughter Berry who I have to keep an eye on when I'm running, but other than that, when I run it's just me. When I used to run in high school I never felt this way about running, but now that I'm older and stressed the heck out, running is the best thing I can think of.

This second week is most likely going to be the make me or break me week. Usually on the second weeks I give up, this time I'm not though, I am in this for the long haul. I won't let anything or anyone stop me from accomplishing this challenge. Anyways, I'll keep posting and telling about my journey to find myself and obtaining my Sexy Me body. Stay tuned...

Amazing

This morning I woke up at 7.30 am to get ready for work. At 8 am I got out of bed, after rubbing Berrys belly. At 8.30 am I finished my nails with the rubbing alcohol and newspaper method. At 9 am I was dressed and out of the house with chocolate covered almonds and a water bottle topped with ice cubes. At 9.05 am I was on the bus riding to work. I arrived to work at around 9.40 am, which led me to clock in at 9.45 am.

I worked a total of 4hrs today and since it is Wednesday it was super slow. After work I got a ride home with my mom and Berry. When I arrived home I relaxed for an hour and napped for an hour... with Berry of course.

My mom had left so it was just me and Berry when I had woke up. Since I started the 8-week runner challenge I knew I had to force myself to run. It wasn't hard to go out and run, I been literally looking forward to it all day! The only problem I faced was whether to take Berry out with me or not. She was still sleeping so I decided to just get dressed and head out, but once I was dressed and putting on my running shoes Berry appeared ready to go. So, as a good mother I am, I took her with me. I jumped a fence into an elementary school and Berry walked through the crack of it.

When I started running it was amazing! Berry even ran with me, unfortunately she couldn't keep up because my family and I have been giving her donuts and twinkies lately. Look- many people feel canines shouldn't eat human food, but I found happier people live longer, so my little person <my daughter> will continue to eat whatever makes her happy. Except poisonous foods, she's not allowed to eat things that will kill her. Back to my running story... it was AMAZING! I just couldn't believe I kept it up and I did the whole challenge without fail.

After Berry and I had finished our challenge, we stretched in the grass and watched the clouds. It was very peaceful and amazing. When we arrived home I massaged her little muscles so hopefully she doesn't get sore in the morning. It was just an amazing day and so far I AM LOVING IT! I will definitely keep this up and keep posting about my experience. I'm trying to find myself again, and so far it's coming out well, especially now that I found out Berry is my new workout partner. Stay tuned...

Sexy Me <3

First post of Sexy Me! <3

So, I recently got into an argument with my now ex boyfriend. It led to an unfortunate but fortunate break up. The man I recently dated took away pieces of me, he really changed me in good and bad ways. The love is still there for him and I would definitely go back if he actually started putting in more effort like he did in the beginning, but I don't see that happening. So, in the meantime I'm doing me... Sexy ME!

Sexy me is the name I gave to my workout playlist on my phone. The playlist consists of motivational woman songs sung by woman. When looking for motivational music I searched for playlists on YouTube, however I feel my playlist is better than the ones composed on YouTube, but that's my opinion. Why the songs are just women singing: that I don't know. There weren't any women empowering songs for woman sung by men, that I can find. However, if you find or found any let me know please.

Sexy me was created after the breakup, see what led to my breakup was stress and anxiety. School has left me so stressed I just couldn't handle my emotions anymore. Well school, and the fact that I'm taking the depo-shot for my skin hormonal condition. This depo-shot isn't working for me, I'm breaking out and having mood swings like no other. Next month I will start back on birth control pills, the pills actually cleared up allot of my acne.

So, back to sexy me. Sexy me is the beginning of a 8-week beginner running program that you can find online or at runnersworld.com. I started the program on Monday which is the day I was determined to go for a run. I will continue the program for the whole duration, and I will be blogging my progress and how I feel after the workout as an inspiration for everyone or anyone who ever reads this to work out. Working out is the most effective stress reliever that us humans have and known. Currently, I am considered obese, so losing weight is a goal but my real goal is to relieve stress and tackle my anxiety.

So, I will keep posting about this challenge and how it's going for me throughout this week. I am determined to keep on track, I bought my running shoes and running earbuds so I can stay motivated. Stay tuned...

Materialism

In my family the holidays are for getting together, enjoying a feast and celebrating a couple days out of the year where we’re not poor or lacking. When I was growing up I was a Jehovah’s Witness, meaning I didn’t celebrate holidays. Every holiday I’d see everyone being excited around me, but never being able to participate in it. In my opinion, not being able to celebrate made me appreciate it when our family switched religions to Christianity and then finally got to celebrate.
Not celebrating any holidays and then being able to embrace the holidays, made my family and I view them more as a family event. When I was younger my mom would give everyone in my family money, and then we’d buy each other gifts. It was never materialistic; the reason why my mom had us start to celebrate the holidays was to realize money is just a piece of paper. Celebrating was always something different to us and being a Jehovah Witness makes us view them as just a party, no religious story or meaning behind them. There are never any issues concerning expensive gifts, in my family, because we only buy and ask for what we know each other can afford. Fortunately, my siblings and I usually go halves on purchasing the gifts for each other so someone in the family will get what they have always wanted.
So when it comes to holidays and which author explained it most closely to me and my family it would be Lauren Smith. The way she explains how it’s to show appreciation is most accurate. Giving gifts is to show appreciation and to thank the people for being in your life. No matter how expensive a gift is, a good person will always appreciate it. What she said came close to my home, and I hope it came close to others as well.

Personally, I hate reality shows

Reality shows are the garbage of all television broadcasts; they portray families and people that aren’t real! It’s been proven many and many times again that reality shows are scripted. To imagine people believe these shows devastates me. How can you believe that Snooki from Jersey Shores actually slept with all those guys while still with her boyfriend during the show? No, I don’t believe for one second that any of those reality show people are actually those people in real life. The shows are fake advertising and it sickens me!
For instance, let’s talk about Teen Moms these are girls are 16 and pregnant. Last time I checked, sixteen year olds are sophomores in high school. Not to mention, these girls in this “reality show” have cars and their one home; no sixteen years old can afford their very own home and car. Everything about reality shows are lies and scripted. The people starring in these shows are actors and actresses pretending to not have a script. As for me, I’d rather not support those shows by being a viewing audience. Instead, I watch scripted shows because I don’t like the false lies that “reality shows” give the world. I’d rather know people are acting. Also, I don’t feel comfortable watching other people’s problems. That’s pretty much what “reality shows” are; just people dealing with misery and problems. “Reality shows” are what I considered to be a new form of brainwashing and United States propaganda to control its citizens.

“Reality shows” are literally a waste of time and the government’s money. People who waste time watching “reality shows” are better off watching a documentary or Vice; Vice shows reality, but its real reality. When I say real reality, I mean the people in these videos are showing real-time events and misery happening around the world. It’s better to watch real than fake, and that’s what “reality shows” are, they’re fake! To clarify, the reason I know so much about these shows is because, I unfortunately have friends who feed these reality shows gossip down my throat.

Homelessness

It’s hard for some people to think that some homeless people aren’t druggies or felons and are literally just struggling to survive and can’t afford to live in today’s world. Nowadays it’s hard to live within luxury, everyone is struggling. Around the world people are without homes and often looked down on and treated horribly whether it is verbal or physical. In my home we struggle to survive, my family has gone homeless twice.
Before my mom, little brother and I went homeless, I thought all homeless people were worthless because they were all on drugs. Never would I have thought that my family would be homeless twice. It never crossed my mind that some of those homeless people really just lost their home because they couldn’t afford to have one. That’s how my family lost our home, we just couldn’t afford it. As for my opinion on homelessness, it didn’t change from them being worthless until my family went homeless the second time. The second time we went homeless then I started to change my opinion. Every Sunday we would go to a church that would feed us lunch/breakfast and many other homeless people would go too. That is when I realized not everyone on the streets is a bad person; some homeless people are just struggling like my family was.

Being homeless really changed my outlook on life, before I would judge a book by its cover, now I think twice before judging. You never know what that person has gone through or went through or how they got in that situation. Some homeless people are people who can’t afford to live and it’s saddening. A lot of my opinions on life has changed from being homeless, I can literally say “You never know what you have until it’s gone.”
